Meet Derek...

I'm a former Special Education teacher and Autism Fitness Certified Pro. I offer movement coaching that respects each person’s learning style, sensory needs, and fitness level.

 

Trained in S2C (Spelling) by Communication for Education, I understand the need to assume competence and work with my athletes and their parents or provide movement coaching that ensures the work we do together is purposeful, enjoyable

(at times), and provides long term health benefits.​

​

I accept Self Determination Program funds under code 331 for community integration supports ,and am currently listed as a vendor with many FMS providers.

My Training Philosophy

Personalized Plans

At All Kinds Move, we believe strength looks different for every body, and our programs are built to honor those differences. Our personalized strength training plans are designed around each individual’s abilities, goals, and sensory needs. We focus on building foundational strength, improving coordination, and boosting confidence. 
 
Using principles from Autism Fitness®, we modify our program to meet your athlete where they are, and follow strict guidelines before progressing the movements.
 
We take into account the athlete's physical, adaptive, and cognitive capabilities, to ensure success and enjoyment.

Every plan adapts as we make progress—because strength training isn’t just about muscles. It’s about discovering what your body can do and creating the foundation for lifelong movement.

Services

Derek currently provides all training services at the client's home, school, if permitted, or a nearby park or playground. All equipment is provided.  

Small Kettlebell

Training Session - $100 per session
Travel Time - $75 per hour

Sessions are 45-60 minutes depending on the athlete's age and ability to attend.


Two sessions per week is recommended for training affect and lasting results. Travel Time is calculated for locations beyond Encinitas and typically just for one way depending on my ability to schedule your services in my day. Please note that afternoons are the most impacted part of my day. Tuesdays are currently the day with the most availability.
